Though I had just recently renewed my contract with Brighton, I couldn’t refuse Arsenal’s offer, as it would double my monthly pay, and add me up to one of the most successful clubs in England and Europe. A great transfer budget to start working on the January transfer window, a well controlled and tamed Wage Bill and a squad with notable players like Javier Pastore, Marek Hamsik, Robin van Persie, Thomas Vermaelen and others, where other great reasons to accept Arsenal’s offer to change colours!
Financially, The Gunners are quite fine, with enough cash to keep us safe even spending a good amount on transfers.
For the sponsor’s I’m not sure of what the Gunners have now a days, aside from Fly Emirates and Nike. So I will follow this Schedule on respective order from image.
- Emirates
- Fly Emirates
- Nike
- Carlsberg
- Betsson
- Citroen
- Guinness
On this current game file, Arsenal began off with Arsene Wenger, who’s only achievement was the Europa League title in 2012. Wenger left the Gunners after this achievment to join Barcelona. David Moyes assumed Wenger’s position, and as the French boss, his only achievement was the Europa League trophy in the 2014 Season. David Moyes’ spell at the Emirates Stadium was from July 2012 to November 2014, when Real Madrid signed him to replace Rafa Benitez.
Arsenal are 10 years in line waiting for a Premier League Title, and this current season is the 11th since the 01-02 title. Last season, Arsenal managed a reasonable 4th place, but the before two poor results, respectively 7th and 9th place. On the English FA Cup, again poor results from Wenger and Moyes kept the Gunners from reaching any final. The same happened on the Carling Cup past campaigns.
Due to poor positions in the EPL, Arsenal’s participated only on two occasions on the Champions League, and on both cases, being eliminated on the Champions Cup Best Placed Playoff. Wenger got knocked out by Russian Rubin and Moyes by Italian Juventus.

Arsenal currently have a “small” squad. There are quite a few good players still in the squad. at a first glance, I’m a bit disappointed with the available forwards. Actually Robin van Persie is the best one here, and I don’t consider him a natural born striker! Park Chu-Young is a player that doesn’t deserve to wear The Gunners colours, and will be immediately sold for whatever value arrives. I will take a deep look to find a poacher to play side by side with RvP. Too bad that Vela is not at the club anymore, I would definitely use him.
The Centre of the Park is definitely the highlight of the squad. Andre Ayew, Marek Hamsik, Javier Pastore and Sergio Busquets are great players. I do not understand why Arsenal can’t perform with such great players. There are also club grown players like Wilshire, Walcott and Ramsey to add depth to the squad.
The defense is build around Thomas Vermaelen, with Per Mertesacker being his partner. I look forward keeping these two playing together, but will look for a younger player to join in and be prepared for the future. Alex Song and Johan Djourou are still young and have their spots in my team as reserves, perhaps they can replace the older players.
My fullbacks are also not the ones that the Arsenal fan would dream of, perhaps a nightmare. Gibbs tried his best, but grew to be a common player. Bacary Sagna at 31 yo is past his best, and Greek Casilis Torosidis is quite a flop for the past years. Definitely I will look for immediate substitutes for these players.
In front of the nets, two very similar players, Lukasz Fabianski and Wojciech Szczesny, both Polish and both very determined and able keepers. Fabianski is unsettled at the club, and I will allow him to move. As Caranta is on the verge of retiring, I will look for a young keeper to step up as a reserve. Or depending on what offer comes in, I could sell both polish keepers, and bring in cheaper, though capable players.
- Qualify to Continental Competition this season;
- Rebuild the Squad;
- Emulate the 33-34-35 Consecutive EPL titles;
- Giver Arsenal their first Champions League Trophy;
- Keep tight control of wage bill.

I’m planning to emulate the three consecutive titles!!!
